Glasgow's Christmas lights to soon go up as festive clues appear

We know - one minute you're buying pumpkins and sweets for trick or treaters, and the next minute the shelves are full of turkey and selection boxes!

It's the same every year - Christmas flies in and before you know it, the big day is here.

And what signals the start of the festive season more than the lights going up in Royal Exchange Square and George Square?

Nothing!

So you'll be pleased to know reader, if you're a Christmas lover - you're in luck. The lights are set to go up imminently.

Passing through Royal Exchange Square, one will see a big Onestop Roofing Supplies machine is fenced off. At the end of its extended arm are the string lights that make the Square look so gorgeous, hanging from the sides of the building, ready to be strung up.

And Glasgow Live has it on good authority that the lights will be strung up imminently, with the machine being moved around the corner to George Square next to put up the lights there.

Now, when those lights will be switched on exactly isn't clear as of yet... but you know where to look when the news is out! That's right, back here at Glasgow Live.

Merry festivities, folks!
