Glasgow's Champagne Central wins Bar of the Year at the Scottish Hotel Awards

Glasgow hotel bar Champagne Central has walked away with Bar of The Year at this year's Scottish Hotel Awards.

The bar, within the Grand Central Hotel at Glasgow Central Station, took the title at the annual awards ceremony, which were announced online via Facebook this weekend.

The Scottish Hotel Awards is normally the largest industry awards gathering of the year, with categories across all aspects of the Scottish hotel industry.

And Champagne Central wasn't the only place within Glasgow to be recognised, Kimpton Blythswood Square walking away with the award for Best Luxury Brand Hotel.

The hotel's 5-star restaurant Bo & Birdy also won the award for Best Bar Diner award for Glasgow, while the Glasgow regional award for Best Bar Food went to the Pipers' Tryst restaurant at the National Piping Centre in Cowcaddens.

The Radisson Blue on Argyle Street walked away with Best Breakfast Award, while the Village Hotel Club in Pacific Quay won Business Hotel of the year.

And the Bar Manager of the Year award went to Grant Montgomery of the Citizen M, with La Bonne Auberge winning the national award for Restaurant Team of the Year
