Glasgow's Britannia Panopticon Music Hall to host a Haunted Sleepover this Halloween

Glasgow's iconic Britannia Panopticon Music Hall is hosting a Haunted Sleepover this Halloween.

Located in the heart of the city in the Trongate, the Britannia Panoptican is the world's oldest surviving music hall, having first opened back in 1857 in the midst of the Victorian era.

The evening will involve a licensed bar (within licensed hours), film screenings and the opportunity to actually sleep (or lie back and look at the wonderful vaulted ceiling) in the music hall, which is "supposedly" haunted by various spirits.

There may also be the opportunity (subject to health and safety sign-off) for small groups to visit parts of the building which are not normally accessible to the public.

Organisers of the event say that while they cannot cannot guarantee any spiritual sightings or activity at the music hall, they also can't guarantee there won't be either!

Tickets for the sleepover, which runs from 10pm on October 31 to 8:30am on November 1, cost £35.

Participants are advised to bring their own sleeping bags, with a wee breakfast (hot roll and tea/coffee) from nearby bakers MacDonalds included in the price.

There are only 30 places available, so best be quick if you want to secure your ticket.
