Glasgow running group pull off festive feat by mapping out city centre reindeer

A Glasgow running group got into the perfect festive spirit by creating their own route map reindeer - complete with antlers!

Garscube Harriers, based out of Garscube Sports Complex in the north-west of the city, braved the dreich weather yesterday to complete the Christmassy feat using the social fitness network Strava, which tracks runners and cyclists using GPS data.

The 'Garscube Reindeer Run' saw the group of runners meander through the city centre and past the likes of Glasgow Central Station, George Square, the Merchant City and Glasgow Caledonian University to map out the reindeer using the fitness app.

And if the run, which was organised by one of the members in Jim Boyle, wasn't festive enough, the runners that took part in the run did so while dressed in tinsel, antlers (very on brand) and Santa hats!

As a handy footnote, Garscube Harriers are starting a beginners group in the new year if anyone wants to join.
