Glasgow Road closed after serious traffic accident in Cambuslang

Glasgow Road has been closed after a serious traffic accident in Cambuslang.

The incident was confirmed by the Inrix traffic data site, shortly after 4pm.

Glasgow Road is currently closed westbound after the accident at the B759 Greenlees Road, at the Cathkin Braes turn-off.

Inrix stated at 4.13pm: "A749 Glasgow Road Westbound closed, queueing traffic due to serious accident at B759 Greenlees Road (Cathkin Braes Turn Off)."

Glasgow Live have contacted Police Scotland for comment.
