Glasgow is the deadliest place to work in the UK- with four other Scots areas making up Britian's top ten.
The study by life insurance specialists, I’m Insured, analyses the latest HSE (Health and Safety Executive) figures to reveal the percentage of workplace related deaths happening in each region of the UK, as well as each local authority area.
The data in the report revealed that Glaswegian workers are more at risk of dying in the workplace than anywhere else in the country- making up 3.44% of all workplace deaths between 2015 and 2020.

Birmingham is the second highest but this is followed by Aberdeenshire in third place on 2.46%, Highland in fourth (2.21%) and Aberdeen fifth (2.09%).
Fife is the UK's tenth most deadly region for workers making up 0.98% of the deaths over the timescale.
A spokeswoman for the report said: "The report took into account the percentage of workplace related deaths that took place between 2015 and 2020 in each local authority area across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
"Throughout that period over 3 in ever 100 (3.44%) workplace deaths occurred in the city, meaning workers in Glasgow are sadly more at risk than any others in the country.
"Birmingham comes a close second, with 2.58% of workplace deaths tragically happening in the midlands city. Four out of five of the highest % of deaths came from Scottish local authorities, with Aberdeenshire, Highland and Aberdeen City following Birmingham."
The report also shows men are around five times more likely to die at work as women- with 83% of British workplace deaths being men and just 15% being women.
This is more than likely due to the industries affected by fatalities, with fewer women in both construction and agricultural job roles. 1.75% of deaths can't be attributed to either gender.
Building work and farming are the most dangerous work places followed by healthcare and then manufacturing.,
