Despite the government's Eat Out to Help Out scheme ending back in August, many restaurants across our city have continued the offer in bid to get Glaswegians out for a bite.
The deal has typically been running on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with a discount of 50% off for diners of up to a maximum of £10 per person. In the majority of cases, the offer extends only to food and soft drinks, not alcohol.
The scheme was initially introduced in the summer to give the hospitality industry - hard hit by the coronavirus crisis - a much needed boost, with the government footing the bill for the discount.
However, food spots throughout the city have found they're continuing to benefit from keeping the offer on the table, attracting customers on what would traditionally be the quieter days of the week.
And a number of Glasgow restaurants have been in touch with us in recent days to announce they will continue to offer half price meals this October.

Of course, we recommend you check the websites and Facebook pages of the individual venues - some places appear to be extending the deal for a couple of days, others until the end of October, while there may be certain terms and conditions including which menus the offer applies to.
