Glasgow restaurants extend Eat Out to Help Out with cut-price deals

Restaurant owners in Glasgow are extending the Eat Out to Help Out scheme by subsidising meals themselves.

The final day for the scheme which offers diners 50% off their meal up to £10 is August 31, but it has been such a success that many owners have decided to keep going.

DRG will offer the deal at its Glasgow venues The Anchor Line, Atlantic Bar & Brasserie, The Citizen, Amarone and its Cafe Andaluz and Di Maggio's in Royal Exchange Square on September 1 and 2.

Princes Square's restaurants are to extend the offer throughout September at the Barca Tapas Bar, Cranachan Cafe, NY American Grill and il Pavone from Mondays to Wednesdays. Darcys will offer a different discount deal from Wednesdays to Fridays.

Several of Manorview Hotels' venues in the Glasgow area are also offering the deal.

The offer will also apply at Cafe Bombon in Princes Square, Chaophraya, Damasqino, Mharsanta, The Willow Tea Rooms and Tuk Tuk Indian Street Food, Catch, Celinos, Left Bank, Five March, The Bungo, The Botany and the Busby Hotel.

In East Kilbride, the offer will be extended at Di Maggio's and the Torrance Hotel; in Renfrewshire at the Bowfield Hotel in Howwood and Lynnhurst in Johnstone; and in Lanarkshire at the Commercial in Wishaw.
