Glasgow restaurant Tibo closes after staff member tests positive for coronavirus

Dennistoun restaurant Tibo has closed after a staff member tested positive for coronavirus.

The popular Duke Street bistro confirmed the news via a Facebook post yesterday, with the staff member in question, who last worked a shift on Sunday (September 13), now self-isolating at home.

Tibo say the NHS Test and Protect team have already contacted people who could be at risk, with the situation "now under control and maintained".

As a result of the positive test, they have closed for "a few days" to manage the situation, and hope to open again next week once the rest of the staff have been tested.

The Facebook post reads: "Covid-19 update. Yesterday morning it was confirmed that one of our staff has been tested positive for Covid-19. The staff member was last in work on Sunday and is now isolating at home and we wish them a speedy recovery.

"We have made the decision to close Tibo for a few days to let us manage the situation. We simply do not have enough staff to open this week. This will give us time to get the rest of the staff tested and make sure we can open again safely next week."
