Glasgow restaurant Thai Orchid reopens following fire and lengthy closure

A popular thai restaurant in Glasgow has reopened following its forced closure in August last year due to a fire.

Thai Orchid, on Argyle Street near to Central Station, suffered extensive damage in the fire, which at the time saw the nearby Alexander Thomson Hotel evacuated and the street closed to traffic as emergency services dealt with it.

As a result, the owners confirmed that the whole kitchen had to be replaced, with extensive refurbishment and re-decoration required inside the restaurant and out.

Thankfully the restaurant swung open its doors again last week to welcome guests.

With the owners confirming that they have reopened under the same management and same chefs as before.
