Glasgow restaurant launches interactive kids 'pizza making' with eat-free offer

A popular Italian restaurant in the southside has launched a fun way for kids to enjoy their food this summer.

The team behind Luciano's restaurant on Stonelaw Road in Burnside has launched a unique 'make your own' pizza offer that will see kids (under 12) given the chance to place their own toppings and sauce on their own bases before their food is then cooked and served to them.

The interactive offering is designed as a fun way to engage children with what they are eating, as well as distracting them from their usual electronic devices.

And the team are also seeking to help parents in need over the holidays too with a 'Kids Eat Free' scheme running Monday to Friday, 12 pm until 4 pm.

General Manager Kevin Lightbody said: "We want to give back to the community, we've been here for two years now and have built up a loyal customer base and we know times are tight at the minute with the cost of living crisis, so it means our customers can bring their kids out for a nice meal and it won't be hard on the pocket."

He added that all of the ingredients are fresh, including the dough, with the 'Make Your Own' pizza scheme now a permanent addition to the menu.

Priced at £4.95, the 'Make Your Own' comes with a Napoleon Pizza Base, Tomato Sugo and Mozzarella while additional toppings such as Roast ham, Tuscan sausage, mushrooms and onions for £1.50 each.

While children looking for a sweeter option can also make theirs with Nutella or white chocolate (£5.95).

Kids eat free with every full-paying adult.
