Glasgow reacts to Dominic Cummings as scathing banner spotted at Queen's Park

We’re not exactly shy here in Glasgow - especially when it comes to sharing our opinions.

In previous years Glasgow residents have gone viral for sharing their bold takes on politics - from a graffiti slogan reading ‘Boris Johnson is a pure f*nny’ to the ‘Theresa May talks pish’ sign spotted a few years ago.

Now Dominic Cummings is the latest political figure to be subjected to the sharp end of a Glasgow tongue.

Following his controversial journey from London to County Durham, as well as his novel approach to an 'eye test', folk in Glasgow couldn't help but poke fun at Boris Johnson’s chief adviser following his statement last night.

Southsiders were the first to weigh in on the matter, with a new plain talking-banner spotted hanging at the entrance to Queen's Park.

It read: "Cough? Fever? Visit Durham. One rule of them. One rule for us".

We can only applaud their speedy work, creativity - and we assume - fairly early alarm clock.

Whatever your opinion on the matter, you have to admire the plain speaking we Glaswegians are famous for.

You can read Dominic Cummings' statement from Downing Street in full on our news blog.
