Glasgow rail services disrupted due to Uddingston train fault

Rail services in Glasgow have been disrupted as a result of a train fault.

ScotRail have confirmed several services may be subject to 'major disruption' due to a fault on a train travelling between Uddingston and Cambuslang, in the east end of Glasgow.

ScotRail Tweeted at 5.04pm to confirm: "Due to a train fault between Uddingston and Cambuslang, the line towards Glasgow is blocked. Train services through these stations may be subject to disruption on all routes."

Trains travelling between Dalmuir and Whifflet, Glasgow and Lanark, Glasgow and Milngavie/Dalmuir/Balloch/Helensburgh Central and Motherwell to Cumbernauld have been affected.

Meanwhile, the rail operator confirmed ticket acceptance is in place with First Glasgow bus services.
