Glasgow Queen Street to Edinburgh trains disrupted by flooding

Flooding has led to delays on trains running between Glasgow Queen Street and Edinburgh.

ScotRail confirmed heavy rain has led to part of the railway being flooded, at Winchburgh, between Linlithgow and Edinburgh, meaning services have been disrupted.

Trains between Edinburgh and Glasgow Queen Street via Cumbernauld and Falkirk Grahamston will be suspended, and it is not clear how long the disruption will last.

A ScotRail Tweet read: "Heavy rain has flooded the railway at Winchburgh, between Linlithgow & Edinburgh. The line has been closed. This affects our Edinburgh – Glasgow Queen Street High Level and Edinburgh – Dunblane services. Staff are on site now monitoring the flooding."

Replacement transport has yet to be found, however trains are currently running between Edinburgh and Glasgow Central Station.
