Purple bin collections for residents in Glasgow will resume having been postponed for months amid the coronavirus lockdown.
Glasgow City Council will begin collections recycling bins from front and back door properties from Monday, July 20.
It comes over two months after food and garden waste bin collections resumed.
Purple bins will be collected every eight weeks going forward after the council noted low demand for the service pre-lockdown, with only a third of bins presented for collection every four weeks.
"By moving to an eight-week collection cycle for purple bins we can recycle glass from homes with front and back doors much more efficiently", said the council.
As a result, the collection day for the bins is likely to change.
Residents can also continue to use the network of public collection points for glass bottles and jars. Details on the network of points are available on the council website.
In addition, from Saturday July 18, residents can also use their local household waste recycling centre to recycling any glass bottles or jars.
You can check the online collection calendar here for your new scheduled collection dates following the restart of the service.
