Glasgow pub The Bay Horse delivering free pints to regular customers amid lockdown

A popular Glasgow pub is doing its bit to put smiles on faces amid the coronavirus crisis - by delivering free pints to regulars.

Staff from The Bay Horse in the city centre have been out this week delivering a pint to some of their regulars, while complying with current government rules on social distancing

A Facebook post by the Bath Street haunt reads: "Here at The Bay Horse we are looking to give out a free pint to our regular customers.

"We will deliver to your door while complying with the government rules of two metre distance there will be no physical contact involved and our drivers will be wearing appropriate gloves to keep them and you safe.

"PM myself on this page and drop my your name and address we will do our best to get a pint to you this week.

"If anyone knows any our regulars who don’t have access to Facebook please send their name and address also! Stay home stay safe".

The Bay Horse told Glasgow Live: "We delivered 100 pints today to regular customers and are looking to do the same tomorrow".

And the move has been met with a positive response from their followers, with one person responding "Absolutely bloody fantastic" and another saying "well done guys".

What a fantastic idea!
