Glasgow pub looking for someone to 'take over' and breathe new life into it

A popular high street bar in Glasgow is seeking a landlord to come in and "breathe new life" into it.

The 55 bar, which is found on Drymen Road in the leafy suburb of Bearsden, is owned by pub operators Greene King, who have posted on social media they are searching for the right candidate to take over.

Posting on their Facebook page, Greene King wrote: "Business Development Manager Sandra Donnelly is searching for an entrepreneurial person who can breathe new life into the 55 bar and make it great again.

"If this appeals to you, then why not find out more?"

Described as a smartly presented venue, with an "open plan feel", GK say it is known locally for great quality food, drink and service, as well as a friendly warm welcome.

They added that the bar sits on the local high street and is well-placed to capture customers throughout the day.

Anyone interested can apply from the Greene King website.
