Glasgow pub creates impromptu 'beer garden' in middle of busy road

A Glasgow pub has been applauded online after it created a make-shift beer garden as a result of a broken down bus.

The Pot Still joked about their “new beer garden” after the city’s Hope Street was forced to shut down at the weekend.

The empty road allowed for whisky lovers to enjoy a dram in the sun when the pub put a table and chairs out.

Our sister title Glasgow Live reported how road was brought to a standstill as a result of the broken down bus preventing any traffic from going down the street.

Posting on their Facebook page, the Pot Still said: "Outside seating courtesy of a broken down Stagecoach."

Followers branded the move “brilliant” and “legendary”.

One customer asked: “Are you taking bookings?”

While another said: “Why do I get the feeling that’s our table for tonight?”
