Glasgow pub charters entire plane to fly Rangers fans to Europa League final in Seville

Managers of a Rangers bar have chartered a massive airplane to fly fans to the Europa League final.

The Bristol Bar in Glasgow had been working tirelessly for the last four weeks and have now secured a Boeing 737-500.

It will take fans direct from Glasgow to Seville and management believe it to be the cheapest flight going.

The plane holds a maximum of 132 passengers and all of the seats have been snapped up by eager punters of the Duke Street boozer.

On social media, the bar posted: "We're on our way. The Bristol Bar is flying its loyal customer to Sevilla on its very own direct flight from Glasgow.

"After a lot of hard work over the last four weeks we are now so proud to announce we have managed to secure the Boeing 737/500 and have now got everyone booked on and we're good to go.

"The flight is now full, booked and paid for with all our passengers on board taking full advantage of the cheapest charter flight heading to Sevilla. We really are on our way, but we're going team handed."

The move was welcomed by fans.

One said: "Well done all at the Bristol Bar, have a lovely trip safe travels."

Another added: "Amazing, safe flight and trip everyone and hope we all have something to celebrate."

A third posted: "Thank you so much for all your efforts in getting this all sorted out for us all, it is appreciated and we are so pleased to be joining you all on this fantastic epic journey. Can't wait."

A fourth wrote: "Fantastic, that's what you call great customer service."

Bosses have also announced they will only allow regular customers into the bar in Glasgow with tickets due to overwhelming interest in watching the game.

Thousands of Light Blues fans are currently scrambling to get their hands on tickets for the finals.

Over 100,000 Rangers supporters are expected to make the journey to Seville with many not having tickets for the 43,000 capacity Ram n S nchez Pizju n Stadium.

Just 9,500 tickets have officially been offered for the Rangers end by Uefa.
