Glasgow property: Finnieston kitchen pic goes viral as people react to £950 a month rent price

Back in February we reported how a tiny studio flat in Glasgow city centre with an advertised monthly rent of £500 was branded as 'absolute theft' after being spotted on a property website.

And now another property in Finnieston has come under the microscope after a tweet from one Glaswegian expressing their disbelief at the monthly rental price being asked for it went viral.

It concerns a two-bedroom property located on Kent Road near to Elderslie Street along from the Mitchell Library - and pays particular attention to the 'new kitchen' that has been installed and is shown in photos on the listing on website Open Rent.

The tweet, which shows two photos inside the kitchen of the - bare - flat, is captioned: "This flat is £950 a month and this is the kitchen. Landlords need to be stopped."

It has received over 13,000 likes and 1,200 retweets since being posted by the angry member of the public over the weekend, with Glaswegians replying in their droves to echo their incredulity at the price being asked given the poor state of the kitchen.

Another chipped in with: "£950 pm!! Looks like something you might find in Moscow in 1960."

And their comments were echoed by a further Twitter user who commented: "Wow. That's not a kitchen, it's an afterthought".
