Glasgow probe into serious assault on teen ongoing as police hunt two suspects

Police in Glasgow are appealing for witnesses after a serious assault in the east end.

The assault happened on Inveresk Street in the Greenfield area of the city around 5.25pm on Thursday (July 21).

Emergency services attended and an 18-year-old man was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

The suspects are believed to be two men. One is described as white, aged 18-25, of slim build and with dark hair, wearing black T-shirt and black shorts. The other is described as being of 18-25, with a tanned complexion and short dark hair, wearing a light blue T-shirt and dark jogging bottoms.

Detective Sergeant Mairi MacDonald of Glasgow CID said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have seen the assault or nearby drivers with dashcam footage to get in touch with us.

“Anyone with information should contact officers on 101 quoting incident number 2793 of 21 July, 2022.”
