Like a storyline from the smash-hit movie franchise Nativity, Showcase Cinemas wants to give an extra special Christmas present to one lucky primary school in the UK.
And youngsters across Glasgow have the chance to see their festive performance hit the big screen during the yuletide season.
Showcase wants to shine the spotlight on one lucky school in the UK, catapulting their celebrations to local stardom.
Whether it's a classic nativity performance, a Christmas Carol, or something more contemporary, bosses of the cinema chain are waiting to find their winning entry.
Mark Barlow UK General Manager for Showcase Cinemas, said: “Nothing gets you excited for Christmas quite like a trip to Showcase to watch the latest release.
“This year, we’re delighted to be giving the next generation of acting talent, their parents and teachers the opportunity to watch their own festive performance on the big screen.
“It promises to be a great Christmas for film - with Frozen 2, Jumanji: The Next Level and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker coming to the big screen - and we know our cast of young talent will steal the show when we film and screen their festive turn later this year!”
To apply, Showcase Cinemas is asking primary schools to sum up in 50 words or less why their school should be chosen to steal the show this Christmas.
Now, we all know ow competitive these kinds of things can get, so we're urging you all to remember it's not the winning that counts, its the taking part!
Submissions should be emailed to showcasechristmas@wearebrazenpr.com no later than September 20 , although the team of film specialists will consider applications straight away, so get your submission in early!
Pre-production will take place in October 2019, filming will take place in November 2019, and the premiere event will take place at a Showcase Cinema or Cinema de Lux site nearby in December 2019.
