Hundreds of Glasgow homes have been affected by a powercut, with engineers working to rectify the issue.
SP Energy Networks advised the outage has affected the G15 postcode in Glasgow, which includes large parts of Drumchapel and Bearsden.
SP Energy Networks confirmed in a Tweet, published at 10.54am this morning (Thursday): "We are aware of a powercut in G15 Glasgow. Our engineers are working to restore supplies. Sorry for the inconvenience."
A statement on the SP Energy Networks website advises: "There is power cut in the G15 area of Glasgow.
"We did not know in advance there would be a power cut, and became aware of this at 10:41am.
"Our control centre will attempt to reset the network remotely to restore power in stages, and we will also send our next available engineer to attend site.
"Our team will work to get your power back on as quickly and as safely as possible by 12:45pm.
"Once they arrive, or when we receive any update regarding the cause, we will be able to provide you with more information.
"We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience."
