A popular Poundland store in Glasgow's west end has announced its permanent closure.
Poundland on Dumbarton Road is set to close in the next week.
Bosses confirmed the 'disappointing' news that the store, which is a well-used essential shop of the Partick community, will officially close on Saturday January 15.
They confirmed the lease of the shop had expired.
It is thought that dozens of jobs will be affected, although bosses say they will 'work hard to look after colleagues directly affected'.

A spokesperson for Poundland said: “We’re as disappointed as our colleagues and customers to be closing our store in Dumbarton Road, Partick, on January 15. Sadly, our lease has expired.
“We’re still offering customers amazing value at our other Glasgow stores.
"Where we close a store, it goes without saying we always work hard to look after colleagues directly affected.”
