Glasgow police: Witness appeal after child hit by van in east end of city

Police have launched a witness appeal after a child was hit by a van in the east end of the city.

The incident happened on Edinburgh Road near to the Stepford Football Pitches between 6pm and 6:30pm on Monday, August 17.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them on 101 quoting ref PS-20210818-1410.

Launching the appeal on Twitter, Glasgow East Police wrote: "In relation to a road accident involving a child and a white Ford Transit van at approximately 6-6.30pm on Monday, August 17 on Edinburgh Rd near to the Stepford Football Pitches.

"Any information please contact Police on 101 quoting ref PS-20210818-1410."
