Glasgow police searching for missing 'gentle giant' Joe

Greater Glasgow Police have issued an urgent appeal to find the whereabouts of Joseph Kelly, who went missing about 1pm on Thursday, July 30.

Described as a "high risk missing person", officers say that Mr Kelly may be in a 2012/2013 white Citreon C1 car, registration DG62 NWX. Launching an appeal on Twitter, a spokesman for Greater Glasgow Police said: "If you have seen Joseph or have any information, please call 101 quoting incident 3223 of 29/07/21."

Christina Kelly, his sister, wrote on Facebook in the early hours of Friday morning: "Heartbroken and worried sick as my gentle giant brother Joe has gone missing last night and we need him home safe. Please share far and wide - we all love you so much Joe x please come home."

She added that he was last seen in the Anniesland/Jordan Hill area, to the north west of the city.

The police spokesman said: "Joseph is described as a white male, 6ft 2in tall, of heavy build and with greying, thinning hair. When last seen he was wearing a grey hooded top and blue jeans."
