Glasgow police release CCTV after bottle launched during Celtic v Hearts game

Police have released CCTV images in the hunt for a football fan who launched a bottle onto the pitch at Celtic Park during a clash with Hearts last summer.

Officers say they want to speak to the man in the images in connection with the incident on August 25.

It was previously reported that a Celtic fan had been 'ejected' from Parkhead after allegedly throwing a missile which landed behind goalkeeper Fraser Forster's goal.

The supporter was reported to have been kicked out of the stadium by his own fans following the incident.

A Police Scotland statement said: "Officers have released an image of a man who officers wish to speak to as it is believed he may have information that will assist their investigation in relation to an incident which occurred around 3.40 pm on Saturday 25 August 2019 within Celtic Park Football Stadium during the football match between Celtic and Hearts when a bottle was thrown onto the pitch.

"Anyone who recognises the man in the image or who has any information is asked to contact Police via 101, quoting incident number 3100."
