Glasgow police investigate Milton fire after two vans deliberately set alight

Police in Glasgow have launched an investigation after two vans were deliberately set alight in Milton.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the blaze on Longay Street in the north of Glasgow at around 8.35pm.

Thankfully no-one appears to have been injured in the blaze, that police are treating as deliberate.

Officers are urging anyone with information to come forward.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of two vans on fire on Longay Street, Glasgow, around 8.35pm on Sunday, January 9.

“There were no reports of any injuries and the fire is currently being treated as wilful.

“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with any information or dashcam footage is asked to contact 101 quoting incident 2828 of 9 January, 2022.”

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service have been contacted for comment.
