Glasgow police hunting two thugs who attacked vulnerable man in city centre

Police are searching for two men who assaulted a vulnerable man in Glasgow's city centre.

The 46-year-old man was on Gordon Street around 6.30pm on Sunday when he was assaulted.

The victim suffered minor injuries and didn't require hospital treatment but he was left extremely shaken by the incident.

Officers are now looking for two male suspects who are described as white and in their early 20s. One was wearing an orange top. They are also keen to speak to a man who came to the victim's aid.

Constable Lauren Sloan said: "It is vital we trace the individuals responsible and we are appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident, or anyone who matches the descriptions of the suspects in the area, to come forward.

"We are also particularly keen to speak to a man who came to the aid of the victim and would ask him to contact officers.

"We are continuing with extensive CCTV enquiries and there will be additional patrols in the area.

"Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 3261 of Sunday, 19 June, 2022 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
