Glasgow police hunt 'Ayrshire accent' man after attempted robbery of woman

Glasgow cops are hunting a man with an "Ayrshire accent" who they believe can help with an investigation into an attempted robbery of a woman.

City detectives have released an e-fit image of a man following the incident in the Easterhouse area at around 9.25am on Monday, June 21.

Police today released the mock-up image of the man after the attempted robbery on Easterhouse Road near to its junction with Aberdalgie Road.

The man shown in the image is described as white, around 40 years old, 5ft 5in tall, of slim build, with short blond hair and facial hair.

Cops say he spoke with an Ayrshire accent and was wearing black trousers, a black hooded jumper and black trainers.

Detective Constable Poppy Stewart said: “We’re asking anyone with information which could help us identify this man to please come forward. We believe he may hold information which could assist our investigation.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact officers on 101, quoting incident 0730 of 21 June. Alternatively, please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.
