Glasgow police hunt after two men launch 'frightening' attack and robbery on city street

Police are hunting two men after a 36-year-old was left with injuries to his face and body following a ‘frightening’ assault in the Saracen area.

The 36-year-old man was attacked and robbed on Panmure Street at around 9.40pm yesterday (Tuesday, December 28).

The victim was approached by two men who assaulted him before making off with his electric scooter.

Officers are keen to trace two men in connection with the attack.

One is described as a white male with a slim build and around 6ft tall.

He has light brown hair and was wearing a black bubble jacket and dark tracksuit bottoms.

The second male is described as white with a stocky build and approximately 6ft 2in tall.

He had an unkempt appearance and was wearing a dark beanie hat, dark clothing and a colourful scarf.

Detective Constable Fiona MacKenzie of Greater Glasgow Robbery Unit said: “This was a was very frightening experience for the victim and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident.

“I urge anyone who saw either of the males matching the descriptions to get in touch. Also, anyone with dashcam footage who was in the area around the time of the incident or anyone with any information which could assist our investigation should contact police via 101, quoting incident number 3044 of 28 December, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
