Glasgow police cordon off Shawlands house over 'unexplained' death of a woman

An investigation has been launched after a woman was found dead at a house in Shawlands.

Emergency services were called to St Ronans Drive around 3pm on Tuesday following a report of a concern for a person. A woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The death is currently being treated as 'unexplained' and officers remain stationed outside the property as of Friday morning.

A cordon has also been set up in front of the address with several flower tributes left for the woman.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called to St Ronans Drive, Glasgow around 3pm on Tuesday, 9 August, 2022 following a report of concern for a person.

“Emergency services attended and a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
