Glasgow plea for supplies to fill van heading to Poland to help Ukranian refugees

Members of Glasgow's Polish community are organising a van that will take supplies to Poland to help Ukrainian refugees arriving in the country as they flee Russia's invasion of their homeland.

They are collecting clothing for women and children, first aid supplies, and other essential items such as blankets, baby bottles, quilts, towels and nappies.

The van(s) transporting the supplies is set to leave Glasgow this coming Friday (March 4) bound for Poland and laden with the donations.

Hindu Mandir Glasgow will be storing all the donations prior to the van leaving, with donations to be dropped off at the temple at 1 La Belle Place (next to Kelvingrove Park) between 10am and 1pm and 5pm and 8pm this week.

Meanwhile organisers are on the lookout for individuals or transportation companies to help provide a van type service to transport all the donations from Glasgow to Poland.

Anyone who may be able to assist can get in touch with the organisers of the trip via Facebook here
