Glasgow photographer 'missing the pub' creates amazing tiny model of The Laurieston

A Glasgow photographer who is "missing the pub" has created an amazing and realistic-looking tiny model of The Laurieston on the south side of the city.

Katy Bridgestock made the model of one of her favourite Glasgow pubs having missed a shoot she was due to do at the city institution after the lockdown came into force.

Speaking to Glasgow Live about the model, Katy said: "I have been into making things and photography for many years.

"I was due to take some portraits in The Laurieston just as the lockdown came into force.

"It's such a great pub and I was a bit sad about missing the shoot".

To make the model, Katy used some model people she had bought online, alongside some photos she had previously taken of the southside pub, before hand-drawing the rest and layering it up with card to give it a '3d' effect and tracing people to help her light the model up from the inside, spending a few hours photographing it to get the effect she wanted with the lighting.

And having enjoyed making a miniature e Laurieston so much, she plans on having a go at making another Glasgow building.

"I have enjoyed creating this tiny pub so much over the last week and am currently trying to decide which Glasgow building to do next!"

Any suggestions?
