Several petrol stations across Glasgow and the surrounding area have imposed a £30 limit per vehicle after shortage fears caused massive queues at stations across the country.
EG Group have confirmed they will limit the amount of petrol and diesel customers can purchase at their forecourts after large-scale panic buying on Friday, the Daily Record reports.
The limit will apply at the eight petrol stations they operate in and around the city in Tollcross, Baillieston, Bearsden, Uddingston, Kilsyth, Dumbarton, Milton (by Bowling) and off the M8 next to Strathclyde Park.

HGV drivers and the emergency services will be exempt from the rule.
A spokesperson told the paper: “Due to the current unprecedented customer demand for fuel and associated supply challenges we have taken the decision to introduce a limit of £30 per customer on all of our grades of fuel.
“This excludes HGV drivers and emergency services due to their vital role at this time. This is a company decision to ensure all our customers have a fair chance to refuel and to enable our sites to carry on running smoothly.
“We kindly ask everyone visiting our sites to treat our colleagues, supply chain partners and customers with respect during these very challenging times.
“All of EG Group’s UK sites remain open and operational to serve customers.”
The UK Government has urged travellers to "buy fuel as normal" as there is a "very resilient and robust supply chain".
