Glasgow pensioner with distinctive Celtic badge tattoo missing as police 'concerned' for welfare

Police are searching for an elderly man who has been missing from his home overnight.

Edward O'Neill was last seen in the area of Eastburn Road in Balornock around 11.30am on Tuesday.

Officers are becoming increasingly concerned for the 72-year-old's welfare and are appealing to anyone who knows where he could be to get in touch.

Edward is described as being around 5ft 6ins, bald and of slim build. He has a Glasgow Celtic badge tattoo on one of his arms and is believed to be wearing dark-coloured jeans and a black jacket with a hood.

Sergeant Dean Shankie said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Edward's welfare and are asking anyone who knows where he might be to please come forward.

“If you have seen Edward, please do not hesitate to contact 101 and quote incident number 2904 of 11 July."
