Glasgow pensioner tragically died alone as cops launch appeal for relatives

Police are searching for the relatives of a Glasgow pensioner who died alone at home.

Hugh Meikle was discovered within his flat at Briarwood Gardens in the Mount Vernon area of the city on Thursday, January 28.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of the 88-year-old.

Cops are appealing for the assistance of the public in tracing relatives of the OAP.

Anyone who has knowledge of Mr Meikle’s relatives is asked to contact the Administration department at London Road Police Office.

They can be contacted on 0141-532-4681 on Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm.
