Glasgow pedestrian struck by car on west end street as woman rushed to hospital

A woman was rushed to a Glasgow hospital after being struck by a car on a west end street earlier today.

The crash involving the pedestrian and vehicle took place on Hyndland Street in the west end, at around 12.05pm today.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and a woman was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hopsital for treatment. Her current condition is unknown.

The street was closed for some time, but has since re-opened.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called around 12.05pm to a report of a pedestrian being hit by a car on Hyndland Street, Glasgow on Thursday, August 4, 2022.

"The woman has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital."
