Glasgow pays respects to murdered teenager Justin McLaughlin with heartfelt floral tributes

Floral tributes have been left outside the entrance to Glasgow's High Street station in memory of murdered teen Justin McLaughlin.

Around 10 bouquets of flowers have been placed against the door to the station alongside candles and a Rangers top paying tribute to the 14-year-old schoolboy, who attended St Ambrose High School in Coatbridge.

Next to them a police officer stands guard behind a cordon at the station, which has been closed off to the public since the incident took place on Saturday afternoon (October 16).

One of the bouquets, left by residents and workers at a nearby student accommodation complex, reads: 'Dearest condolences from all staff and residents at Collegelands student accommodation x.'

Another bouquet has also been left by Justin's friends and one of his coaches. It reads: 'Justin, the greatest goalkeeper for St Francis of Assisi. You will always remain in our hearts. A life taken too soon. May you rest in peace. Love and God bless from your friend Jaydon, coach Gary and all our family x.'

Police have confirmed this morning that a 16-year-old boy has now been arrested in connection with Justin's death.

Enquiries remain ongoing following the arrest.
