Glasgow Partick street closed off to traffic amid subsidence issue

A busy road in Glasgow's west end has been shut to traffic due to subsidence.

Vine Street, which runs between Dumbarton Road and Partick Bus Station and Morrison's supermarket, has been closed to all vehicles amid the ongoing issue.

A diversion is in place on Merkland Street, which has been converted to a two-way system to give access to Morrison’s and Partick Bus Station.

Glasgow City Council's traffic management department, TRAFFCOM, issued an emergency bulletin this afternoon advising of the road closure.

They confirmed that traffic restrictions will operate from today (March 20) until 4pm on Friday.
