A man accused of being involved in a major Scots paedophile ring has been found dead just weeks after appearing in court.
Robert Brown was charged by police along with thirteen others in connection with an alleged child sex abuse gang probe last month.
The 51-year-old appeared in private at Glasgow Sheriff Court where he made no plea and was released on bail.

He was charged with multiple child sex offences including two counts of rape against a child under the age of 13.
Furious residents in the Townhead area of Glasgow gathered outside a block of flats on November 4 after details of the court proceedings emerged.
Cops were called to the scene as the angry crowd chanted and shouted before Brown was forced to flee the area, the Scottish Sun reports.
But just eight days later, Brown was found dead by a relative at his new accommodation in the city on November 12.
Police Scotland say they are treating his death as ‘unexplained’ but that there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
A force spokesperson said: “The death is being treated as unexplained but non-suspicious. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
Enquiries into the alleged paedophile ring remain ongoing.
Investigators announced that they had made a total of 14 arrests with nine men and five women - including Brown - appearing in court over an 11 day period last month.
