Glasgow officers hospitalised after police car involved in crash outside High Court

Three officers were hospitalised after a crash involving a police car outside Glasgow High Court.

An ambulance was called to the scene on Saltmarket following the collision involving an Alfa Romeo shortly after 4pm on Friday.

The officers, a woman aged 30 and two men, aged 31 and 34 years, have been released after receiving treatment at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. Those inside the Alfa Romeo were uninjured.

Police have subsequently launched an investigation into the crash and confirmed: "Around 4.05pm on Friday, 2 April, 2021, a marked police car and an Alfa Romeo car were involved in a collision in the Saltmarket, Glasgow.

"The three officers from the police car, a woman aged 30 and two men, aged 31 and 34 years, were taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where they were released after treatment.

"The occupants of the Alfa Romeo were not injured.

"Enquiries into the crash are ongoing."
