Glasgow neighbours find man's body on street after 'fall from scaffolding'

A man has died after it is believed he fell from Scaffolding in the Battlefield area of Glasgow.

Emergency services were contacted by locals who spotted the 50-year-old on the ground outside their homes at 12.15pm yesterday, it is understood.

Sadly the man could not be saved and he was pronounced dead at the scene on Grange Road, close to where flats are being developed, the Daily Record reports.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained, but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police were called to Grange Road, Glasgow at around 12.15pm on Sunday, September 4, 2022, following the sudden death of a 50-year-old man.

"The death is being treated as unexplained but there are no apparent suspicious circumstances. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal."
