Glasgow has been named one of the best cities in the UK to raise a family according to a new study.
Research conducted by comparethemarket.com looked at metrics such as current house prices, average salary, job opportunities and local amenities.
Other key factors used to come up with a list of the 10 best locations to raise a family in the UK included air quality, broadband speeds, and the number of schools, museums and libraries.

The findings revealed that Glasgow is home to the highest amount of museums and libraries after London - with property prices in the city also the second lowest in the top 10 after Aberdeen.
Edinburgh came out on top as the best city to raise a family, partly due to its low crime rate - second only to Norwich - and its low pollution levels (25.4).
