And here in Glasgow, we're known for our kind spirit and friendly ways.
So it's no surprise the city has been ranked among the most generous spots in the UK, after a study found that Glaswegians who donate to charity give an average of £130.83.
The research, by charity ActionAid, surveyed donations from people across the UK in that last 12 months.
The ranking also puts Glasgow ahead of English cities like Cambridge, York and Leeds but behind Scotland's capital, Edinburgh.
The study showed that 21 per cent of Glaswegians said they donated more this year than in 2018.
Climate change is a cause close to our hearts in the city, with about with 11 per cent of Glaswegians saying they have donated more to a climate change charity in the past year and 69 per cent. saying they have made changes to their lifestyle, in order to reduce their impact on the enviroment.
