Glasgow mum films moment baby says 'hello' at just two weeks old

A Scottish mum has filmed the moment her baby says 'hello' at just two weeks old.

Natalie Padden filmed herself chatting away to adorable new son Ari, now 14-weeks-old, who was gargling away at their home in Glasgow's Knightswood.

In the clip, the doting mother-of-two says "Hi Ari!" before he makes a wee noise that sounds like he's saying 'Ello'.

The shocked 38-year-old then turns to her partner Padraic, from Kent, and exclaims "oh my god, did you hear that!?"

Natalie told the Record: "He's a very vocal wee baby and kind of babbles a lot. He's always making wee noises and gargling a lot, particularly sounding like the word 'hi'.

"My family were in disbelief when I showed them the clip. They kept asking me 'is that real?' and thought I'd done something to it.

And she's not the only one who thinks so.

Eva, Ari's older sister who is eight, reckons he's been close to saying 'okay' a few times.

Natalie added: "He’s the happiest wee thing and always smiling.

"It looks like he's going to be an early communicator, I've got a wee talker on my hands!"
