Glasgow milk lovers travelling to remote Ayrshire farm to visit viral vending machine

We don't think many will have complaints about the taste of milk we can find here in Glasgow at our local shop or supermarket.

But that hasn't stopped scores of Glaswegians taking advantage to the loosening of the travel restrictions to head all the way to Ayr to pick themselves up some fresh white stuff - that's being sold from a vending machine that has gone viral.

The machine is located in the aptly-named The Milk Hoose, which is next to The Coo Shed, a family-run coffee shop set in the rural Ayrshire countryside on South Corton Farm off the A77.

Such is its recent popularity that Glaswegians are taking to TikTok to document their trip to the fresh farm milk vending machine, which allows customers to pick up some fresh farm milk from their grass-fed herd of Corton Coos.

And if that doesn't sound like a good enough excuse to hop into your car and head south down the M77, they allow you to add loads of different flavours to your milk, such as strawberry, chocolate, banana, caramel and mint chocolate.

Perfect if you fancy getting those colours in for your Insta feed.

The good news too is that the milk is dispensed in reusable glass bottles, therefore reducing plastic waste, with customers asked to go home, drink the milk, sterilise the bottle and return for a top-up.

The Milk Hoose is open seven days from 7am to 9pm at the farm in Ayrshire.
