Glasgow Maryhill Road police incident: Man in hospital after fall prompts major road closure

A man has been taken to hospital after falling outside Maryhill Police Station.

For a short time, Maryhill Road was closed to all citybound traffic after the incident at Kelvindale Road.

Police and ambulance services attended and the man, who was injured after his fall, was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

There are still delays although a diversion is no longer in place.

Medical staff have said since that the man is stable.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland told Glasgow Live: “Around 12.10pm on Monday, 20 September, 2021, a man was found injured, after falling outside Maryhill Police Station, Glasgow.

“Emergency services attended and the man was taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment. Medical staff describe his condition as stable.”
