Glasgow man taking on 5k every day in May for charity close to his heart

A Glasgow man has called on people to take on 5k of exercise every day this month for a charity close to his heart.

Greig Robertson, a youth team coach at Celtic FC , has asked people to cover 5k every day throughout May for St Margaret of Scotland Hospice.

People can take on the challenge by walking, running, cycling or swimming. Although we are already partly through May, you can still take part either by yourself or with friends, family and colleagues to contribute to the distance covered and share the load.

The inside of this house proves you can never judge a book by its cover

Greig, who lives in Duntocher and is a keen runner, was inspired to create 5k a Day in May to raise funds for the hospice after his dad lost his battle with cancer in December 2017 and spent his final days in St Margaret of Scotland Hospice.

A message from Greig on his justgiving page reads: "Get involved by walking, running, cycling or swimming 5k a Day in the month of May for this excellent cause. Do it on your own or as part of a team i.e. you and 4 friends walking 1k a Day is good with us and if you skip a day.......we wont tell anyone! A great way to get beach body ready whilst supporting this fantastic organisation."
