Glasgow man rushed to hospital after being knocked down by car in Springburn

A man has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in Springburn.

Balgrayhill Road in Lenzie Terrace was blocked off last night as police received reports at around 8.35pm of a pedestrian being struck by a car.

The 30-year-old man was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where his current condition is unknown.

Police have confirmed that enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 8.35pm on Saturday, 18 February, police were called to a report of a man struck by a car on Balgrayhill Road at Lenzie Terrace, Glasgow.

"Police attended and a 30-year-old man was taken by Ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
